ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY
Overview
This Acceptable Usage Policy (AUP) covers the security and use of all CompuScholar online systems and information.
Definitions and Scope
This policy applies to all CompuScholar employees, contractors, students, teachers and other users of our online systems and information (hereafter referred to as "individuals").
Policies
Computer Access Control
Access to the CompuScholar's online systems is controlled by the use of user accounts (usernames and passwords). All usernames and passwords are to be uniquely assigned to named individuals and consequently, individuals are accountable for all actions on the CompuScholar's systems through their accounts. Individuals must not:

Allow anyone else to use their username and password on any CompuScholar system.

Leave their user accounts logged in at an unattended and unlocked computer.

Use someone else’s username and password to access CompuScholar's online systems.

Leave their password unprotected (for example writing it down).

Perform any unauthorized changes to CompuScholar's online systems or information.

Attempt to access data that they are not authorized to use or access.

Give or transfer CompuScholar data, software, or copyrighted course material to any other person, organization or Internet site outside the scope of communicating with licensed students in a CompuScholar course.
Responsible Use of Online Systems and Information
CompuScholar's online systems are intended for educational and personal use. Business use is permitted when not detrimental to CompuScholar, Inc. in any way, not in breach of any other Conditions of Use or AUP terms, and does not place the individual or CompuScholar, Inc. in breach of statutory or other legal obligations.
All individuals are accountable for their actions within CompuScholar's online systems. Individuals must not:

Use the online system, messaging or email for the purposes of harassment or abuse.

Use profanity, obscenities, or derogatory remarks in communications or file uploads.

Access, download, send or receive any data (including images), which CompuScholar, Inc. considers offensive in any way, including sexually explicit, discriminatory, defamatory or libelous material.

Use the online system, messaging or email to gamble in any form.

Use the email or messaging systems in a way that could affect its reliability or effectiveness, for example distributing chain letters or spam.

Make official commitments through the internet or email on behalf of CompuScholar, Inc. unless authorized to do so.

Download copyrighted material such as music media (MP3) files, film and video files (not an exhaustive list) without appropriate approval or specific course instructions to do so.

In any way infringe any copyright, database rights, trademarks or other intellectual property.
Enforcement
CompuScholar reserves the right to immediately purge all content found in violation of our AUP without notice. CompuScholar further reserves the right to disable and/or purge user accounts found to be in violation of our AUP without notice. No refunds will be issued for accounts or content removed for AUP violations.
