This year, students in some courses have access to a new assignment engine. These assignments are easily identified by the "puzzle piece" icon to the left of the assignment name.
All Java Programming homework problems and the first 8 Digital Savvy chapter activities use this new engine. Additionally, all this covers Java and Python auto-graded chapter activities when deployed through a school or district LMS like Canvas or Schoology.
When students are working in the new assignment engine, their work will now be auto-saved every 15 minutes. Students will see a brief "Auto-saving..." message, their work will be saved, and they can continue without interruption.
This new feature ensures students will not lose work if they stay on an assignment page for a very long time entering data.
